REV gives Redlands first CBL loss in baseball

Behind a three-hitter by Jackson McClelland, Redlands East Valley downed Redlands in baseball 6-2 on Wednesday.
The win gave Redlands (18-2, 7-1) its first Citrus Belt League loss of the season. REV (13-5, 6-1) moved to within a half game of first place. The teams play again on Friday at Redlands.

Redlands had a 14-game winning streak snapped. Justin Jacome drove in two runs, including an RBI triple in the third inning that gave REV the lead for good. REV scored in four straight innings from the second to the sixth to come from behind and take control of the game.
McClelland was dominating, retiring the Terriers in order four times, and Redlands’ final eight batters. He struck out four and walked two.
