Citrus Valley holds 4-2 lead through 4

In the Division 6 softball championship game, Citrus Valley holds a 4-2 lead through 3 1/2 innings over Lake Isabella Kern Valley.
Ashlyn Morris’ two-run single scored the go-ahead run in a three-run second inning, giving the Blackhawks a 3-2 lead.

Junior Hayley Jaquess was the starting pitcher, but came out in the top of the third. She had been hit by a pitch while batting in the second inning and that appeared to be a factor why the change was made in favor of Taylor Troost.

Troost came in with runners on second and third with one out in the third, and retired the next two batters. She retired Kern Valley in order in the top of the fourth.
