This week, Redlands East Valley’s football Week 4 opponent, Temecula Rancho Christian, cancelled the varsity portion of its football program.
That left the Wildcats scrambling for a replacement. It is fairly unlikely one will be found.
Corona Santiago is another school that lost a game scheduled against Rancho Christian. Santiago is hoping to move its scheduled game against Upland from Week 4 to Week 5 to allow REV and Santiago to play each other Week 4 and make up the game both teams missed. That seems unlikely since the Upland-Santiago game is an Upland home game and Upland needs to agree to it.
Rancho Christian cancelled its varsity schedule after losing its first game 43-6 to Whittier La Serna last Friday. Rancho Christian had only 13 players and four were hurt in the game.
