Grand Terrace getting set for first-ever game

It will be a big deal Friday night, when Grand Terrace hosts Riverside Notre Dame in the first game ever for Grand Terrace. Game time is 7 p.m. at Grand Terrace High School. It’s being dubbed “Clash of the TItans” since both teams have the Titans nickname.

KTLA is supposed to be out there. A special commemorative coin will be used for the pregame flip. The Sheriff’s Department will have a flyover.

Grand Terrace coach Harold Strauss said that he expects a large crowd. The stadium seats 4,700. He’s not sure exactly how large, because district rivals Colton and Bloomington are also home Friday.

“They’re talking like it’s just going to be rocking and sold out. I’m not putting anything past anyone here,” Strauss said.
