Grand Terrace’s football stadium has its own charm

I enjoyed the Grand Terrace football game on Friday. Great crowd of around 3,000. Beautiful stadium, with a LARGE scoreboard. There’s no video board or message board. But the numbers for the score, down, distance and time are HUGE.
I also had another thought. Many high school football stadiums have their own qualities that make them unique or at least stand out among other stadiums.
Colony High School has the cow manure smell from the dairy farm next door.
Miller High school, among others, has the wind of North Fontana.
And Grand Terrace? It has the trains. Freight trains that frequent the tracks right behind the visitor’s stands makes for a different experience, especially when the engineer is blowing the train horn.
