Rough loss for Rancho Cucamonga

It’s hard to believe Rancho Cucamonga lost their game on Saturday night, blowing a 20-point second-quarter and a 13-point fourth-quarter leads in a 24-23 loss to Anaheim Servite.
The two big plays were two lost fumbles: one that was returned 1 yard for a touchdown and other that was returned 54 yards to the Rancho Cucamonga 5 and resulted in a touchdown a play later.
But even outside of that, Rancho Cucamonga had difficulty moving the ball and didn’t put the Friars away. The Cougars had a stretch from late second to mid-fourth quarters, a span of seven possessions, in which they had 1 first down.
Servite had only 77 yards of offense in the second half, but it didn’t matter, because the Cougars fumbled the ball away. Rancho Cucamonga couldn’t move the ball consistently until after they fell behind and Servite was playing a more prevent defense.
Even after falling behind, the Cougars moved the ball but could not get past the Servite 40.
