161-2: the latest on the girls basketball blowout

I am doing a follow-up story on my story on the 161-2 win by Arroyo Valley girls basketball over Bloomington. That story will be done later today and in the paper tomorrow.

Here is some of what I know, and I hope to update this further later today:

Arroyo Valley officials, including athletic director Matt Howell, are unable to comment at the moment. But Howell did say via text message that the “investigation is ongoing.”
Coach Michael Anderson has scheduled an MLK Day series of basketball games on Monday (mostly girls games), and Howell confirmed that event will go on as scheduled.
But, will Anderson coach in Arroyo Valley’s game? That remains to be seen. Arroyo Valley’s next game — the first since the Jan. 5 161-2 game — is the San Andreas League opener at Indian Springs on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Bloomington athletic director Chris Brickley said his school is receiving a great deal of support from other coaches.
Since 161-2, Bloomington’s next two games, were losses by 51-13 and 56-9 scores. A game scheduled for Friday at Rubidoux did not have its score reported to maxpreps.com.
Meanwhile, the 161-2 is finally up on Maxpreps, but no stats for the game have been submitted.
