Is Schwarzenegger a hypocrite?

Reaction to the story on our web site today:
Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger visited developmentally disabled residents facing eviction at an apartment complex this morning and assured them they will be able to stay in their homes.
Twenty developmentally disabled residents at the Regency Court Apartments in the 900 block of West Olive Avenue were told last month that they would be evicted from their homes to comply with housing laws. Residents and their attorney had struggled to get an explanation from the property management company about why they were being forced out.

Some are saying that Schwarzenegger shouldn't take credit for helping people with disability, when his budget cuts earlier this year did damage to the agencies that care for disabled residents, and in turn, limited services for their clients.

One caller, who worked for Lincoln Training Center, which got funding from the Department of Rehabilitation, said Schwarzenegger is talking out of both sides of his mouth. He cut funding in the budget for the disabled, yet he grandstanded at Monrovia's Regency Court on Friday.

"It is just PR," said one caller. "If you are going to help, reach as far as you can go."

Wow, so these Democratic activists are using the disabled people as a cheap way in which to take potshots at the Governor ?
That's disgusting.

The Governor's late mother-in-law FOUNDED THE SPECIAL OLYMPICS.
The Governor has always contributed greatly to the disabled.

This is all pretty juvenile, Scauzillo.
It sounds like you (and the Democratic activist whom you quote) don't even know what the meaning of the word "hypocrite" is.

I guess the Democrats would prefer that these disabled people were thrown out on the street, eh, all in the name of preventing the Governor from having a simple photo op.

Or as the silly Democratic activist says, "If you're going to help, reach as far as you can go."
...what a moronic statement. The Governor IS helping as far as he can go. It just so happens that the Democratic controlled legislature has wasted zillions of taxpayer dollars, and so there had to be cuts to programs for the disabled.

The state is in the red to the tune of $25 BILLION. That's BILLION.

The problem with our state is that there are so many ABLE BODIED people on entitlements, and so many government employees on the payroll. It sucks the life blood out of the economy.

Many of the disabled are much MORE productive citizens than many able bodied welfare recepients who waste taxpayer money by dropping out of their "free" public education. Then, they go on welfare...have children, and the human wheels go round and round and round...

What's pretty disgusting, is how these partisan Democratic activists go to bed each night thinking they're all some sort of martyrs for feeling "compassion" for x, y, or z...and spending other people's money to address it.

The people whom are doing the most for the disabled are people like the Governor, who happens to be in the highest income tax bracket, and pays extremely high property taxes.

Do you know that close to 50% of all Americans do not even pay federal income tax ?
