And more jobs go poof ...

More cuts announced today.

Here's a brief scenario that illustrates the ripple effect of these layoffs: You could wake up in the morning and head down to Starbucks, which announced Wednesday that it will be laying off nearly 7,000 people and closing 300 locations on top of another 600 stores it already planned to close in the U.S.

Then you could get on a plane made by Boeing, which also announced Wednesday that it will be cutting 10,000 jobs. Still with me? Then you could grab a rental car (if it's made by General Motors they also are cutting jobs) and drive to a Home Depot (which is likewise cutting 7,000 jobs) for some building supplies.

And then, well ... you get the idea.
