AeroVironment seeking more employees
In the midst of all the negative reports we've heard about layoffs, salary freezes and mandatory furloughs, it's nice to finally hear some good news.
In this case, it comes from AeroVironment Inc.
The Monrovia-based maker of unmanned surveillance planes and efficient energy systems announced Monday that it will hold a job fair/open house on Thursday to recruit people for more than 100 open positions.
More than 100 jobs ... now, that's the kind of news we're looking to hear. And if you had any doubt that AeroVironment is financially stable, consider this: The company ended its second quarter for fiscal 2009 with $125 million in cash - and no debt.
