Keeping an eye on the stimuli

| | Comments (1) |

If you're interested in an early version what various cities wanted from $787 billion in federal stimulus money, try out this site: http://www.stimuluswatch.org/

But a quick word of caution. Pasadena, for instance, is not going to get more than $88 million in federal money for its wish list of stimulus projects. What you'll see are early versions of what cities wanted late last year, before President Obama signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

Off the subject but affects our economy and taxes. "Illegals who flunk high school classes" are costing tax payers plenty of $$$$$$$$$$$!!!.

If parents do not care about education there is a great chance their children will not. You know, oranges from the orange tree thing.

The problem is that it cost the state (taxpayers) about $8,000 per year to put students through high school. Some students flunk too many classes (wasted dinero)and make the classes up later; in summmer school. Every class they take costs over $1,000 dollars. Just think about all the money it costs to put students through school.
This happens all the time. Many are not citizens. Do not get me wrong. Some of these kids are as good human beings as you or me, but many are not at all interested in becoming educated. And, many of these students not only are not interested in becoming educated but they prevent the good students from reaching their potential in the classroom with their defiance of authority and class disruptions. All the time!

It is happening in many schools in many cities in many states throughout our great country.

You add up the total wasted $$$$$$$$ by these students that have to make up classes because they flunked. No wonder the U.S. is down on the list of educated countries. Was it the same in 1950? I do not think so.

Do not blame it all on the teachers. It is a "no brainer"! If parents do not make their children do their homework then education recedes. YES THAT IS CORRECT: PARENTS. Oh! Recedes. Could that have anything, anything to do with recession?

And most important: VOTE FOR THE ECONOMY OR WE WILL BECOME MORE THIRD WORLD THAN WE CAN IMAGINE
