Heat Wave = Crime Wave?
Things are jumping here this a.m. There's a reported homicide in Diamond Bar near Pathfinder and Diamond Bar Boulevard. No details yet, but detectives are rolling in from Commerce. This one might be another domestic, but nothing is confirmed yet.
Next, A sheriff's captain told the Pico Rivera City Council last night that a "person of interest" had been picked up in connection with the shooting death of a grandmother who confronted taggers.
Finally, Chris Lopez, whose escapdes have been chronicled here, surrendered to authorities to face charges in the July 25, drive-by shooting of Deandre Netter ...
And now I'm on my way to some sort of probation/parole roust nearby ...

I just left the scene and the coroner's van pulled away with one body. The ABC7 crew said it was a white male juvenile and a wide area is still taped off.
