Here’s what their story says:

Forty-one year Dora Groce and her two children, eight-year-old Robert and four-year-old Katherine, were killed in that car fire. Katherine apparently had a fever Monday night and the family was on its way to their family doctor at Kaiser.

Meanwhile El Monte police held a press conference Tuesday morning and identified the man they arrested and a man they are seeking.
