You are old enough to recall that for years the Pasadena Star News published the “Police Blotter” which reported the local criminal activity during the previous 24 hours. Then suddenly, they [PSN] stopped printing it. I for one thought it was a valuable resource and informed subscribers as to what was taking place in the community and our neighborhoods. Any idea why it was omitted in the first place and what are the chances of once again publishing this important public safety data?

I absolutely remember the blotter (as we used to call it). I spent many an afternoon collecting them.
I don’t know why we stopped running them, although I can assume it was some sort of space issue. When I started this blog, It was my initial intent to revive that blotter in some ways here. In fact, I thought I could get the local PDs to contribute their call logs… I’m still working on that. My biggest problem is time. I don’t necessarily retype call logs if I can get them in electronic form. I’ll keep you posted on the effort. Thanks for the comment.
