Here's the story so far...

WALNUT - Officials are investigating a fatal accident involving a school bus and an unidentified woman outside an elementary school, authorities said.
The accident outside C. J. Morris Elementary School in the 19800 block of Calle Baja in Walnut was first reported at 2:46 p.m.
The bus apparently careened out of control prior to the accident. It jumped a curb and smashed through a chain-link fence and came to a stop on a concrete parking abutment, possibly hitting several people, including some children.
The driver of the Walnut Valley Unified School District bus #31, was not at the scene at 4:25 p.m.
Streets around the school remained closed off to traffic for several hours. Several people watched the investigation unfold.
Los Angeles County fire, sheriff's personnel and CHP officers are on scene, according to the cad.chp.gov, a Web site maintained by the CHP.
