The exploding lighter that shut down a neighborhood
Temple City Sheriff's thought they were under fire Wednesday morning. They called in back up. They called in a SWAT team.
Fire..might have been the operative word...Actually a Bic lighter exploded on the hood of a sheriff's car. It had been left there in the heat and sun, while deputies detained two persons who were loitering in a park near Delta Avenue.
THe lighter exploded and all hell broke loose. After a two-hour standoff in the heart of a busy neighborhood, cooler heads prevailed and a large containment was called off.

I am not sure if Mrs. Netter posted the comment but it is right on. It is quite disturbing to me that Temple City as a community has not come together to demand answers from the City, Temple City Unified School District and the Juvenile Courts. The accused shooters of DeAndre Netter were in and out of trouble in Temple City for years. Why were they still on the street? Also does anyone know if law enforcement has linked the shooters to CJ Mitchelltree the accused Carls Jr stabber? Word amongst the high school students is that CJ had a fight with the Netter brothers on campus in April and then there was another altercation in June between the Netter brothers and Mitchelltree, Lopez and Guerra. That would be interesting to know? Frank keep up your good work because no one in Temple City is talking so we are depending on you to keep us posted. God Bless the Netter Family.
TO THE COMMUNITY OF TEMPLE CITY IT IS A SAD SITUATION FOR A MOTHER TO GO THROUGH MY CONDOLENCES…BUT YOU HAVE TO LOOK AT THE BIG PICTURE ITS NOT JUST IN TEMPLE CITY ITS HAPPENING ALL OVER..& I HAVE BEEN KEEPING UP READING ALL THE INFORMATION PROVIDED & IT DISTURBES ME THAT PEOPLE ARE GETTING THERE INFO & POINTING FINGERS IT ISNT GOING TO BRING DEANDRE BACK..DO U KNOW FOR A FACT THE PEOPLE ACCUSED DID IT?? ..JUST BECAUSE THERE SITTING IN A CELL.. THE JUSTICE SYSTEM DEFINES ITSELF AS “ INNOCENT TO PROVEN GUILTY” NOT “GUILTY TO PROVEN INNOCENT” THAT’S WHAT PEOPLE ARE FORGETTING HERE. AS U HAVE MENTIONED WORD ON THE STREET THEY DID.. NOW..I CAN SIT HERE AND SAY THE SAME …“WORD ON THE STREET” DEANDRE WAS NOT INNOCENT, BUT ITS NOT GONNA CHANGE THE FACT THAT 2 FAMILYS ARE HURTING HERE ONE FOR NOT BEING ABLE TO HUG HER SON & ANOTHER FOR LOSING HER SON…HAVING ANGER AND BITTERNESS ISNT GONNA HEAL THE WOUND…AS FAR AS THE PRESS GOES HALF OF WHAT THEY SAY IS THE TRUTH AND THE OTHER HALF IS NOT TRUE, AS AN EXAMPLE “IS THERE A KNOWN FACT THAT THE ACCUSED ARE GANG MEMBERS”?? AGAIN I WOULD LIKE TO SEND MY CONDOLENCES TO THE NETTER FAMILY… ASLO I WOULD LIKE TO SEND MANY PRAYERS TO THE "GUERRA" FAMILY BECAUSE IN A SENSE THEY TOO ARE GONNA LOSE THERE SON IF CONVICTED....

I MRS NETTER IS HERE TO SAY YEA IM NOT SAYING MY SON IS A PREFECT SON NORE A BAD SON WE ALL WONTS THE BEST FOR OUR KIDS MY SON GOT ALONY WITH EVERONE YES I FEEL SORRY FOR THE YOUNG MAN THATS IN JAIL SEEN EVERYBODY ON HERE WITH THEIR COMMENT WERE WAS THE PARENTS TO MEET WITH THESE KIDS DURING SCHOOL TIME WHY WE DIDNT GET A MEETING WITH PARENTS TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM AN AGAIN MY SON IS DEAD, NO THAT WONT BRING MY SON BACK, BUT THIS IS A HATE CRIME THIS IS NOT GANG RELATED THIS IS A HATE CRIME WHEN YOU DONT LIKE SOMEONE SO YOU SET YOUR SELF UP TO HATE SOMEONE AND THATS NOT GOOD IN GODS EYES UNTIL YOU LOSS A CHILD YOU WONT NO WHAT IM GOING THRUOGH
