UPDATE 9:48 p.m. 12-4-07
Somehow the photo of the Memorial didn't post here. It's very nice. There is a framed photo of Angela, several candles and what appear to be stuffed animals. I will get the photo posted here Wednesday morning.
Angela will also unfortunately be added to the growing homicide database as number 81 for the year locally.
UPDATE 6:50 p.m. 12-5-07
Finally added the photo from the memorial. Apparently Angela was an honor student at Woodbury University. We have another picture of her apparently from a family member that I will try to post tomorrow.

This was my cousin. I just saw her two weeks ago at her sister's wedding. I can't believe she's gone.

If there is any justice in this world the female 17 year old driver will be charged as an adult - be charged for murder - and will spend the rest of her life in jail.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Angela's family.

My heart goes out to the Angela's family. I know that this is a very trying time for family and friends. I know the exact feeling. My family lost my Auntie Chao Ho(48) and my little cousin Jennifer Ho (19)late last year also in a collision in El Monte caused by a someone running from the police. The monster was found guilty of 2 counts of 2nd degree murder last month. I can tell you that the pain will never subside but it will get easier.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you in mourning at this difficult time.

I lived in Temple city for more than fifteen years. On Oct. 15 my nineteen year old daughter Alexandria Robbins-Lopez was killed in a car accident, near San Diego. Her best friend was driving. Alex wasn't wearing her seatbelt. Alex graduated from T.C. High school, and was also involved in swimming there. I understand the pain. It's an eternal wound. I don't believe in god, or gods, so there is no imaginary comfort for me. The comfort lies in memory, and living people. Merely decent living people. I am very sorry for the loss to all who loved this young lady. As to those who express hard hearted opinions about the 17 year old, your spoken ignorance is no comfort. I repeat..."Merely Decent Living People".Be careful where you sound off.A side effect of grief is ANGER.

I am Alexandria Robbins-Lopez' mom and my thoughts and prayers are with Angela's parents, family and friends. As Nick, Alex's father expressed, we know your pain and the anguish that you live with everyday. I still live in Temple City and I drive by Angela's memorial most days. She was obviously loved. Angela and Alex were the same age and I assume graduated in the same class last year. I don't know if they knew each other but my sadness for these two young, beautiful women and the life that has been lost is beyond words. Mr. and Mrs. Chung, I hope that you are comforted by the knowledge that there are those of us who do understand your pain - we are going through it together. I found a support group at Verdugo Hills Hospital - Compassionate Friends - that helps parents who have lost children. It has been a tremendous help to me. I have been told that time will make the pain more gentle and I hope that is true for all of us. My love, thoughts and prayers are with you.
