Killer's mom speaks
This a snippet from Wednesday's follow up story:
Jackie Harris spoke softly through the veil of her screen door in a small, quiet apartment complex in Chino. She said the situation between her son Curtis Harris and his estranged wife Monica Thomas-Harris was a tragedy and said her prayers go out to Monica's family and their grandchildren.
"My son died of a broken heart and handled it badly," she said.
Harris said her son didn't have a history of mental problems, nor was he ever under any kind of mental care.
"He was a good man and he just snapped, that's the only thing it could have been," she said.
Harris' mother said he was working a steady job, trying to buy a home for he and his wife, hoping to reconcile, but Thomas-Harris filed the police report and he couldn't handle it, she said.
"I think this whole situation was more than his heart could bear," Jackie Harris said.

What type of good man has his type of rap sheet?
Local Boy
Well local Local Boy, it's a Mom who can't face the truth that comes up with the "he was a good man...".
Rose Colored Glasses.
Local Boy
Obviously she never read his rap sheet. Than again she was not alone in her thinking Obviously the Judge and prosecutors office had the same type thinking that the mom had. After all they left this P.O.S back into Society, and basically signed the ex wife's death warrant.
I mean did they all just believe he was going to just go home, and start like he never knew her? Where in his background do we see he had any intention of ever leaving this women? No where!
Not even his Mom seen it was over. All she can talk about is how great he was and how he wanted to do for him and her.
Hello the relationship was over. I guess we see where he got is inability to accept reality. That apple sure did not fall far from the tree. I am sorry for her loss but come on parenting had to play a part there.
This is the saddest case to me because we do have past cases to look at, and we do know more about domestic abuse.
Frankly the Judge and prosecutors need to step up and take their blame.
