Blair update
Two are apparently being detained. A police officer running the command post gave specific instructions to keep "the media" away from parents at the school.
Another officer referred to media as "any of those" as though we are something to scrape off their shoes.
We still don't know the full extent of the situation.
Students have been evacuated to the football field. Classrooms are still being cleared.

currently on the campus in classroom
students are being detained due to being in the wrong class and not being on the roster. everyone so far is safe from what i've been told.
we have had an issue with some campus fights brewing, it has been addressed but there is a very very small minority of students that seem to be perpetuating these issues, these same students have faced disciplinary action and will be leaving this school.
Go back to being on topic...I'm dying to know why the media is being kept away from the parents. IS it to give the parents some privacy or fear they will say something out how the police are handling the situation.
Either is wrong.

I would guess they are protecting the privacy of the students and their families.
Well Claire, it appears they are controlling the news as it came out after a parent expressed concern over the safety of students.
