Quiet on Monrovia streets
An interesting article today from Star-News reporter Molly Okeon about the Monrovia/Duarte Gang Task Force. She points out that no gang-related killings have occurred since Jan. 29, and at least 86 people have been arrested as a result of the recent police crackdown.

CLARK ROCKEFELLER UPDATES FROM AROUND THE GLOBE

The Duarte Sheriff stopped by the Route 66 bar in Duarte last night (Fri), and arrested a few gang members who were in the bar playing pool. I am expecting the gang members to start crying about being harrased by the cops. But I for one, am glad for all the extra cops stopping anybody who looks suspicious. I am more concerned that people don't get shot on the street that the civil-rights of murderous gang members.
Monday February 18, A "Peace Treaty March" will be held on Presidents Day, beginning at Huntington Drive and Buena Vista Steet in Duarte, moving to Huntington and California Avenue in Monrovia, then back to the Albertson's parking lot at Huntington and Shamrock Avenue for refreshments and speakers. The march begins at 10 a.m. and is sponsored by Enough is Enough, LLC.
