Cops cleared in Sheriff's probe of West Covina

hernandez.jpgThe six police officers who responded to a report of a domestic dispute at the home of City Councilman Roger Hernandez have been cleared of any wrongdoing after a probe by the LASD' s Internal Affairs Bureau.

We did several stories on this in October and November leading up to the City Council election in West Covina.

Here's a link to the Crime Scene archive on the case.

Like that's any type of surprise. Hernandez should be filed on for making a false police report if the investigation shows he did.

If there is a way for the officers to sue him they should.

Why isn't Rodger Hernandez's ties to Ziad Alhassen and John Schuplein looked into yet??? Why does this Councilperson always get away with everything???????

Would be nice to see some form of civil action from their POA if possible. With all the court findings on 148.6, it won't be that route. Definitely time to put some PAC funds to work.

Second:
Interesting claim, L-Boy. I'm curious: Do you think people cited for infractions (that ultimately get overturned or overthrown) should have the right to sue the police officer who issued them the faulty ticket?

Is Roger Hernandez a corrupt politician? Is this indication a symptom of something deeper?

I am not making any accusations. Just curious about all politicians and how some are followed by whispers from angry constituents et al.

us...there are already vehicles in place to deal with claims of false arrest and rights violations. If the claimant could show that amount of bias for a speeding ticket, go for it. Got to tell ya though; had plenty dismissed over the years and never got sued for an infraction case.

As to the IA article...my opinion is that they are investigated, more so than a common DB case handed to an agent and they're not pretty. I think that most people have a problem with what perceived "punishment" should be. To me, like the cops not being happy with a sentence being handed down or the outcome of a court case. I think all of us are going to have an opinion of what should happen, just depends on where we were standing.

The question from us was stupid and deserved no answer.
Tom is so much nicer than I am.

MH, Hernandez just won re-election and West Covina can have him.
