Pasadena Latin Kings busted
PASADENA - Seven suspected gang members were arrested in the city in the last week for the stabbing and beating of three people at a city gas station.
The people were fueling up their car at a gas station near the intersection of Lake Avenue and Washington Blvd. around 2:30 a.m. on February 10 when the suspects surrounded them and attacked, said Lt. Alex Uribe of the Pasadena Police.
The men arrested are Julio Hernandez, 23, Gustavo Menzo, 18, Edgar Sentero, 19, Michael Martin Solis, 19, Robert Julio Arnaud, 19, Jose Antonio Garcia, 24, and Wilbur Dominguez, 19.
Uribe said that he believed the suspects are members of the Pasadena Latin Kings gang.
Six of the suspects were arrested on February 28, when Pasadena police detectives and SWAT team members served search warrants at three Pasadena locations and one in Duarte, police said.
The victims survived the attack, said Uribe. The suspects were charged with assault with a deadly weapon, he said

Latin Kings in So. Cal? Did they attack Latinos or African Americans? Its hard to determine how this gang might fit into the So Cal landscape. Any clues?
They having nothing to do with the east coast latin kings. They are just a sureno gang that happens to have the same name.
I don't care what the race of the victims is, Pasadena DA needs to come down on this like a ton of bricks. Those on parole can wait for their trial in jail.
AS usual a large group of cowards attacking fewer people. It's too bad some of the coward gang members did not confront the SWAT, A few dead low lifes gang members, would save us all tax dollars, lower the crime rate and no repeat offenders.
Yes theres latin kings in pasadena, one of there biggest rivals is the Villa Boys Pasadena, they are much bigger and have more power than the latin kings... and Gage is right, they dont have anything to do with the east coast latin kings...

You guys do not know anything that is going on here. You all believe that the Latin Kings attacked some random people for no plain reason well you guys are wrong. They attacked Garfield Street (a crew in Pasadena) for problems they have had in the past. And you guys talking about excellent police work, thats all B.S. they just let all the Latinos and Blacks take out each other. I am a Latino and I have excellent grades but i get harrased by gangs everyday on my way to school but the Police has never done anything to prevent it or stop the gangs from their acts.

Street gangs have long known what the rest of the world knows, strength in numbers. The military fights in numbers why expect gangs not to pick up on the same idea? Does any one know if the Pasadena Latin Kings are affiliated with the Latin Kings that are writing on the East Los Angeles walls?
On Atlantic Street I have spotted LK tags. When I search the two block I do not see any person or more writings. I usually get off the car, let the gang members I am a ex gang member that does gang interventions and they become easy to engage.

The latin kings ally with the Norteno barrios of northern california thus they are enemies with the sureno gangs in so. cal. This started when sureno sets started appearing on the streets of Chicago years ago.

Wrong, surenos never took any sets in Chicago. The only places that sureno is allowed in Illinois is the suburbs. The Latin Kings are most prevalent in Chicago which is where it started, not NYC. Pasa Latin Kings, are surenos, and not real Latin Kings. They just coincidentally have that name. Interesting b/c I was in Pasadena court the other day and saw a dude with "Pasa Latin Kings" tatted on his forehead. I almost through up the crown to him, but didn't cuz these Cali dudes are fake Latin Kings. I think there are real LK's in LA from the real Chicago hoods, but not sure. Pasa LK is fake tho. Theyre just weak ass surenos who noone in Chicago respects. They get aired out in the Chi.

Bunch of confused transplants. I can just imagine them trying to walk a mainline acting like East Coast and Mid-West Latin Kings on a level 3 yard in SoCal. That would last about a second.
