City News is ringing the Bell

| | Comments (1) |

These blurbs come from the City News Service wire. They are written in an easy-to-read format for radio. I've supplied links to related content:

  1. A former Bell police officer is due in a federal courtroom in downtown L- A this afternoon on charges of forcing a woman to have sex with him following a traffic stop just over a year ago. 33-year-old Feliciano Sanchez of Pico Rivera is accused of stopping the woman in Bell last May, then driving her to a remote location and forcing her to perform a sex act.
  2. Meanwhile ... a Bell High School teacher is being accused of having sex with a 17-year-old female student. 37-year-old Alex Diaz was arrested May 21st on suspicion of having sex with a minor. Diaz and the teen were allegedly caught in the back seat of a car in a Carson parking lot. He's out of custody on 20-thousand-dollars bail.

I met officer F.Sanchez back in 2004 when I used to reside in the City of Bell. Not ONCE was he ever disrespectful any such form. As the years passed we would regularly go out alone and as a group with friends of his (mostly guys) and neither he or his friends acted out of place...Feliz alwasy acted with dignity AND integrity. I always looked up to him because I have known and know plenty of officers in many bureaus that cross the lines and or get comfortable or have problems with authority and many are exemplirary as well. But the Example that comes to mind for me is. I'd asked him to pass by the house because I had cookd an old family dish and for him just to pass by quickly to pick it up while it was hot. How did he respond? "I am covering for one of the guys, so I will be working for a while, it wouldn't look right for me to just show up [in his uniform]. I will call you when if i get off early before you go to sleep"...
