Sheriff's posse roundup

| | Comments (3) |

Photographer Watchara Phomicinda called to say the mounted posse prostitute roundup on Colorado Boulevard made for some great photographs.

A reporter and cameraman from KCBS/KCAL showed up after their assignment editor read about the event here earlier today. Very similar to what happened after we reported on the mythical Pasadena Panty Bandit.

Watchara said it didn't appear that any arrests were made, but some registered sex offenders living in a East Colorado hot sheet were rousted by deputies on horseback.

"It was great," Watchara said.

I'll have some of his photos up here Saturday.

I am currently a resident of Yuma,Arizona and a 18 year member of the Yuma County Sheriff's Posse, I am also a retired Police officer from Yuma, Arizona.I plan to move back to the South Bay area in November of this year and I was looking for information about your Posse. In Yuma, we assist the Sheriff's Dept. with patrol, livestock issues, boat patrol and security issues in high crime areas. Some of us are POST certified to carry department issued firearms, tasers, collapseable batons, pepper spray, etc. Any information you can supply me will be helpful. Thank you.
