Clark Rockefeller, Chichester may be linked by fingerprint
This is what we'll be reporting in tomorrow's paper. I think the side-by-sie mug comparison says as much about a link as the fingerprint mentioned in the story:
SAN MARINO _ A fingerprint ties a Boston man suspected in the abduction of his daughter last month to a person of interest in the 1985 disappearance of a San Marino couple and the discovery of bones in their backyard, officials said Tuesday.
Detectives flew to Boston on Tuesday to speak to Clark Rockefeller, who is accused of abducting his 7-year-old daughter on July 27 in a case that made international headlines.
Rockefeller has the same fingerprint as Christopher Chichester, a man wanted for questioning in the 1985 disappearance of John and Linda Sohus of San Marino, said Frank Wills, San Marino's police chief in 1994.
"There are similarities between Clark Rockfeller's description and the description of Chichester," Wills said. "They have the same fingerprint."

I'm inclined to belive that this man is some form of secret Govt agent. The sad thing is that he will probably either drop off the face of the earth or suicide. Obviously not self imposed though.
Maybe so, Ant. However, wouldn't the government given him an identity to work with? And what about this San Marino case? Does that sound like government agent work? I think the suicide risk is high. I'm fascinated with his total belief that he was going to get away with taking his daughter. I guess he had built up the story over the year so much, he believed it himself.
Well J, as far as the identity thing I say we,as the everyday working class people see it as he just had all these names. Look at the fact that this man has traveled internationaly for over a decade. I'm sure with the way the security at the airports since 9/11 has increased,this man has some kind of back ground. Consider this and this is fact,Logan has a face recognition system everywhere through out the airport. If this man has ever touched anything in travel his finger print would of supposedly sent up a red flag due to the fact that his finger print is supposedly on the FBI'S most wanted list. As far as the San Marino case,well he lived in the couples Apartment and his finger prints where probably all over everything if you think about it. That doesnt mean you commited a crime just because you live in the say house as such.

Unlikely, but it would be an interesting twist, no?

Don't think Clarkster has been on a plane in years. I see him as a train guy, telling everyone he's phobic of flying.
No way he's traveled internationally since 1995, maybe he hasn't left the USA since 1980. The one question is the faked postcards from Linda in 1985 - could he have returned to Europe for some time, either briefly (in 1985) or from 1985-1986 or '87?
I suspect Linda's April 1985 postcards were produced by him and forwarded via re-mailing service, or unwitting accomplice... unless it's a Stasi cover-up LOL!

Someone should make a movie about him. i would definitely choose Kevin Spacey to play as Clark Rockefeller.
