A sign of fearful and doomed times?

We heard this call on the scanner about 3 p.m. this afternoon. Draw your own conclusions:

HACIENDA HEIGHTS – A woman who looked pregnant and had a young child waiting in her car swiped a charity bucket on Tuesday from a CVS Pharmacy.

Los Angeles County sheriff’s Lt. Mark Relyea said the woman took the bucket from the CVS at 887 Hacienda Blvd. around 3 p.m.

Relyea did not say how much money was in the bucket.

The “heavyset” woman left in a white Toyota Corolla, Relyea said.

I guess her welfare check didn’t cover it this month. How on Earth do these pigs get pregnant over and over? Must be a lot of alcohol involved.

Couldn’t help but comment on your article today. I always like to read your stuff, and find it interesting. However, I would be remiss if I did not comment on today’s article, where you admit to breaking the law by tossing your cigarette into the street. I’ll try not to go on and on, but I will propose to you that if you are willing to tell me how many cigarettes are in your normal day, I would be more than willing to have a group of Boy or Girl Scouts, or so many other volunteers, bring you a plastic bag, equal to what you admit to dumping into the ocean. Wait! I got ahead of myself. Let me just say that pretty much EVERYTHING you toss onto the ground will end up in the ocean. OR, we pay to sweep it up first, which we can’t always do.

In a nutshell, I like your articles, but don’t think that we can read you say stuff like that and not do our jobs right? Nothing personal intended.
