OIS in Rosemead under investigation

There was an OIS in Rosemead that resulted in deputies killing a stabbing suspect. Here’s what we are reporting:

ROSEMEAD, Calif. (AP)  Authorities say Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies shot and killed a stabbing suspect who charged at them with a metal pole in a Rosemead home.

Sheriff’s Sgt. Anthony Haynes says deputies found a wounded female stabbing victim late Tuesday night and tracked down the suspect about 45 minutes later.

Lt. Liam Gallagher tells reporters the man charged out of a bathroom at deputies and hit one of them with the pole, injuring the deputy on his arm.

  2. Hello Frank, You might be interested in a Pasadena Rug Merchant who is bilking customers out of thousands of dollars. I personally have been scammed for $19,000 and I’m doing my best to fight back. This merchant is blight on the community and other Rug merchants in the area are outraged by his tactics saying that he is giving them all a bad name – they have had several of his victims come in and ask for appraisals for rugs they bought from him. I and my partner visited his stoer and expressed interest in antique persian rugs. I was specific – I was buying for investment purposes and wanted rugs that would come with a certificate of authenticity as his ad stated. We were told the rugs he showed us were antique, hand tied, vegatble dyed persian rugs, two of which he stated were at least 100 years old. I bought 5 rugs for ~ $19K only to find out later through an internationally recognized rug expert that they were fakes and not worth more that $200/rug. Several of the rugs had been chemically treated to make them appear aged – apparently a common technique amongst scammers. I spoke with a Pasadena Police Fraud detective who refused to look into the matter saying that I first had to prove that he knew he was selling rugs that were fakes – preposterous; my take is the detective is too busy or just not interested. I have been back to his store several times and watched helplessly as he bilks other unsuspecting customers. This guy needs to be stopped – he is blight on the community.
