We published this guide last week. It's available in PDF form. The guide contains tons of important community information, including shelter locations and several telephone numbers that might come in handy on a day like today.

Excellent disaster information & the price is right!

I wonder:.... If any thought has every been given to utilizing thousands of private/licensed security guards employed by hundreds of private security companies licensed in Calif. during times of emergency & disaster in a "support" position freeing police & fire etc for other matters. They are trained by State & DHS mandate.
A simple contract b/t the State/FEMA with LICENSED security companies shouldn't be that difficult.
The rate would be the same companies charge private clients and administrative oversight is a must and public information.
Any problems with the program and the State of Calif. would VOID the security company license to operate.
