Bank robberies galore
Local bank have experienced a wave of unauthorized withdrawls in recent days, as banks in Alhambra, San Marino and La Canada Flintridge were robbed Thursday and Friday.
In the case of Alhambra, it was the third robbery of the month. A serial robber known as the Grizzly Adams Bandit visited a local bank twice on Jan. 6 and Jan. 26.
In San Marino, the bank robbed Friday shared a driveway with the San Marino Police Department.
In La Canada Flintridge, after robbing a bank, the same robber is believed to have robbed a pharmacy of prescription drugs about an hour later.

Glad the SGVN brings attention to the epidemic of bank robberies in a timely manner in the San Gabriel Valley it should create public awareness when they see a person wearing a ski-mask, fake beard and huge purple afro wig standing in the bank customer line..... like calling 911.
Bank robbers have always counted on two things to pull off a bank heist; A totally apathetic public and banks that refuse to provide preventive measures, and once again Security Cameras do NOT prevent bank robberies, just pull up the FBI websites, these junior Terrorist seem to enjoy have their photos taken.

Perhaps they don't share a parking lot in terms of function, but the two buildings are separated by only about 50 feet of asphalt, in the form of parking spaces. The address of the bank is 2270 Huntington Drive. The address of the police station is 2200 Huntington Drive. They are next door to each other. I'm not sure if you are disputing the fact that this robbery occurred next-door to the San Marino Police Station, or just with the wording of "shared parking lot." I have no intention of making the police look bad, but to not point out that the robbery, and another more recent one on Aug. 15, 2009, occurred only yards away from the police station would be failing to report the whole story. Would a responsible journalist intentionally omit this fact for fear of hurting the police department's feelings?
