Warrants served on Temple City Council members *

DA's officials say search warrants were served at City Hall this morning and at 2 other locations. Three council members are under investigation for allegedly taking bribes from developer Randy Wang in exchange for providing smooth sailing to Wang's proposed mixed-use development on Las Tunas.

*UPDATE 1:42 p.m. from reporter Alfred Lee:

Investigators searched City Hall and five (not two) residences: Mayor Cathe Wilson, council members Judy Wong and David Capra, former City Council candidate Scott Carwile (whom Randy Wang has accused of taking cash bribes for his campaign) and Jay Liyanage, the former project manager of Wang's Piazza mall project.

One of those warrants was served on Mayor Cathe Wilson who is running for reelection. Vote Chuck Souder and Vincent Yu and clean up City Hall!

It would be enlightened justice if a judge fined Wang and everybody involved enough money to build and maintain a beautiful lush green park with lots of camellias on the property in question (Las Tunas Blvd. at Rosemead Blvd.). The entrance to Temple City could look better than Beverly Hills and would look mighty good on a web site photo from Asia too. Also the assumed large number of brides from the 29 Las Tunas bridal shops would have a neighborhood place to pose for beautiful outdoor photos within walking distance. If asked, many local green thumb volunteers would be willing to help with maintenance and contribute to civic pride. I apologize for making so much sense. After all everybody knows we really need another eyesore stripmall full of failing businesses that don't produce a dime of sales tax revenue.

I been to City Hall many times and spoke on this matter. The community don't care or don't want to listen or just don't believe what’s going on with the community. I stop going to City Hall meets. For the simple fact, “that no one doesn’t care". I hope now, the community gets active and take a good look at City Hall. I state in the pass and I will state it now: Cathe Wilson, David Capra, and Gilanders it will be a damn shame if any these City Counsel Member reelective. I myself plan to take the time once again to go vote and I can only hope and pray that the community will take the time to vote and I hope these Counsel Member don't get elective. If anybody doesn’t take the time to vote, then don't cry about it.

I know Cathe personally, and she is like family to me. The guy accusing these people of taking bribes is obviously lying, probably to fix the upcoming election, which Cathe did not win unfortunately. Amazing what a little false accusation can do, eh?
And Mr. Hall: Thank you for making so much sense! :)
TC has more bridal shops than Los Angeles has Starbucks!
