Minor rap sheet, major headache in El Monte

| | Comments (5) |

A couple of quick updates in El Monte police department beating of a prone suspect:

First of all, suspect Richie "Turtle" Rodriguez apparently had a rap sheet filled with minor, non-violent offenses. Police have said Turtle was a member of El Monte Flores.

In the LA Times, City Councilwoman Pat Wallach, a frequent and vocal critic of the department, refused to criticize the actions of the cop who did the kicking.

"We are waiting for reports before we make specific comments on what occurred," said Wallach.

The officer was probably not justified in kicking the suspect the way he did, however, the media makes this turd out to be some saint when its obvious (just look at him!) that home-boy is a gang banging parolee piece of crap. After suspect endangered the lives of the citizens the way he did, I can't say I wouldn't have the same aggression; and I am a trained police officer. So the media definitely can't say they would not have done the same thing, they have probably never been in a fight and they are going to sideline judge, monday-morning quarterback the heck out of this video because it makes money! That to me is criminal! The way the media portrays the cops now days is horrible, I can't wait to get a call of a battery at some media members home where they are the victim, they think we can't do our jobs, ok I won't when they call!........Joe-Police-Officer

Minor wrap sheet? Please! I wonder how times this poor excuse of a human being and waste of life along with his gangster family & homies have killed innocent lives, robbed, raped, sold drugs to kids, etc. and was not caught.

If you it was you being robbed or your life in danger, you would not call it minor.

Just read the LA Times, seems they have a different spin on "minor crimes".
