Robber may have worn make-up in Pasadena bank heist
PASADENA -- A robber who may have worn black make-up to hide is identity escaped with an undisclosed amount of cash after holding up a local bank, officials said.
The crime occurred about 2 p.m. when the robber entered a Chase bank branch at Colorado Boulevard and Lake Avenue and slipped a teller a note demanding cash, Pasadena police said. He was last seen running southbound from the bank.
The robber was described as a man in his 30s, standing about 6 feet tall, of thin build, Pasadena police Lt. Tracey Ibarra said.
Though the robber was initially reported to be a black man, authorities determined he may have been wearing dark make-up to mask his true race, she said. Witnesses reported the man's face had a strange, unnatural-color to it, and surveillance video shows the robber's hands are of much lighter complexion than his face.
No weapon was seen during the robbery.

How did he defeat the bank security measures and where was the security guard?, judging by article he looked a 'little' unusual, but a few hours earlier the U.S. Bank on Platt Av., Woodland Hill was robbed also, this dude had long dreadlocks with the ends tied together over his face like a mask and large bandage over his nose and held a gun as he stood in the customer line. No one said 'Boo", no security, tellers sight impaired.

Gotta share this, article reminds of cartoon; Dude standing in front of mirror asking his soulmate "does this ski-mask make me look fat?".
Good for both bank heists.
Believe it or not, I was actually present for this robbery. The gentleman had a hats and sunglasses on and so it was difficult to see his face to begin with. The hint that gave it away was that his hands were distinctively lighter than his face! But as a witness and/or employee, if you see someone who has skin discoloration how can you approach them without being offensive in the case that they're not a bank robber. Also, when customers were asked to remove their hats and sunglasses when inside the branch they accused us of profiling and stereotyping!! So where do we find the authority to even try to attempt to protect ourselves?
