Cops raid Mongols Motorcycle Club sites
SAN GABRIEL -- Police seized Mongols motorcycle-gang paraphernalia Thursday during a Parole Probation Compliance Check of 40 locations in Rosemead and South San Gabriel, officials said.
The items bearing the Mongols insignia included shirts, jackets, a clock and beanies.
They where found in the home of Mauricio Montano, on the 8100 block of Blewett Street in San Gabriel, according Sgt. Mark Flores of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Temple Station.
Montano is believed to be part of a Pico Rivera chapter of the outlaw Motorcycle gang, officials said. He was taken into custody but not arrested.
"We will write up a report and start an investigation," Flores said. "We will hand it over to the Federal Government."
A federal judge in October barred the Mongols gang from wearing or distributing its logo. The order came one day after a nationwide federal sweep, which landed 61 Southern California Mongols members in jail.
During Thursday's operation, police made six arrests. The charges included marijuana cultivation, possession of methamphetamine, procession of narcotics and narcotic paraphernalia and felons in possession of ammunition.
The operation included about 50 officers from the Detection Unit, Asian Gang Task Force and Special Projects Team.
The action follows a similar raid in Azusa.

If you guys are reporting, and suppose to be factual, why don't you get your fact STRAIGHT before you go posting some BULL, and putting out names and addresses, when waht is stated is so not true. INVESTIGATE FIRST!

You're correct!, readers are waiting for the the City of Azusa Mayor and City Council to make public statement stating the facts In the Press and on their cable TV City Council program before Christmas.
Just like to point out that it was a shirt,vest and a clock and 2 beanies, so how are these items catergorized as gang paraphanelia? According to the federal government the insignia should not be distributed or worn. So if it was found in a a garage in a box, what illegal about that?

We need to remember all the time that news stories we write should be factual in nature. Factual means well researched and every detail presented is correct and not hypothetical. In this case, the arrest of the Mongol-motorcycle gang alleged as drug cartel is so unfair. First and foremost, there were no evidences presented. So why publish this claiming that they really are drug traffickers. Journalism is not all about making stories for people to read. It's all about the responsibility in delivering an honest and factual news story. Thank you so much.

Aren't there real criminals out there with objects that are truely a danger to society?? Really a shirt? no wonder we've got budget woes.
