Man apparently kills self as deputies serve eviction notice
From the Associated Press:
LOS ANGELES -- Authorities say man who killed himself as deputies served an eviction notice at a Northridge home had a history of psychological problems and a house full of guns.
Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputy Guillermina Saldana says deputies heard gunshots when they knocked on 54-year-old David Smith's door Friday.
Neighbors were evacuated and a strategic weapons and tactics team was called. When Los Angeles police officers entered the residence, they found Smith dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Smith was alone in the home and no one else was wounded during the incident.

Another job well done by the Los Angeles County sherriff's department.
If Obama would have shown a copy of his Birth Certificate this wouldn't have happened! :)
Daniel, how is this the deputies' fault?
I'm sympathetic to someone who has lost their home. They feel that they've lost everything. It's a bad place to be.
But to wait until he knows that the cops are at the door to shoot himself? Who exactly is he saying "F**k you," to? The bank? The system?
Or the deputies? Because they're the ones who have to deal with it. The mortgage lender will hear about it, certainly. But they don't have to do anything beyond hiring a clean-up crew.
I wish he hadn't killed himself, certainly and not just because it's a tragedy no matter what.
But I can't see how the deputies had anything to do with it besides being there.
