Condition of Rosemead shooting victim upgraded

ROSEMEAD — A man initially listed as “death imminent” following a shooting at a Rosemead bar was expected to survive Sunday, officials said.
The man, whose name was not released, has been updated to “critical-but-stable” condition at the hospital, Sgt. Alec Macarthur of the Los Angeles County sheriff’s Homicide Bureau said.
He, along with three other men and two women, were wounded in a shooting about 1:30 a.m. at Casa Latina, 8800 Garvey Avenue, authorities said. The victims were between 20 and 36 years old
No arrests had been made Sunday, Macarthur said.
A motive in the shooting was not released, and detectives said it was not initially clear if the incident was gang-related.
