Body found on 60 Freeway offramp

MONTEREY PARK -- The body of a man was found on a freeway offramp Friday, apparently due to a medical problem, authorities said.
The incident was initially reported as a traffic crash on the Atlantic Avenue offramp from the eastbound 60 Freeway, according to California Highway Patrol logs.
Investigating officials determined there was no crash, but rather a man in his 60s had apparently collapsed and died from medical issues, Los Angeles County Fire Department Capt. Rich Tullius said.
There were no apparent signs of trauma on the body, he added.
All but one lane of the eastbound freeway was closed down as the officials investigated the scene, according to the CHP.
