SAN DIMAS -- Firefighters made quick work of a small brush fire burning near the 57 Freeway Friday, authorities said.
The blaze was first reported about 6:25 p.m. on the east side of the freeway, just south of Via Verde, Los Angeles County Fire Department Captain William Knott said. It burned less than half an acre.
Four fire engines and one water-tender truck doused the flames in less than 20 minutes, he said.
The cause was undetermined, Knott added, and no injuries were reported.
