LA HABRA -- A La Habra man died early Saturday in a fire at his home, authorities said.
Bernard Repasky, 56, of La Habra was pronounced dead at the scene of the fire, which was reported about 1:15 a.m. at 641 W. Linda Avenue, Orange County coroner's officials said.
Firefighters extinguished the fire in about 20 minutes, Los Angeles County Fire Department Inspector Fred Stowers said.
"The cause was accidental," he said, adding that there were "possibly smoking products involved."
The blaze caused about $225,000 worth of damage to the home and its contents, Stowers said.
No one else was in the house at the time of the fire, he added.
No further details were immediately available.
