LA CANADA FLINTRIDGE -- Sheriff's deputies found a man and woman shot to death at a La Cañada Flintridge home in an apparent murder-suicide Friday, authorities said.
The incident was first reported about 11:45 a.m. in the 4500 block of Lasheart Drive, just north of Foothill Boulevard, Los Angeles County sheriff's Deputy Guillermina Saldana said in a written statement.
A motive in the shooting was not available.
The bodies were found after someone called sheriff's officials to report a possible shooting, Los Angeles County sheriff's Lt. Larry Landreth said.
"Upon arrival, deputies ascertained an adult male and an adult female were dead from gunshot wounds," Landreth said.
No one was at the home with the bodies when deputies arrived, he added.
Sheriff's homicide detectives were sent to investigate the scene.
No further details were available.
