Unlike many city police departments in the San Gabriel Valley, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department makes crime reporting data available to the general public. Although it’s delivered in a hard-to-read .csv form, it can be imported into maps.
Here’s a map I made of the data, and a link to the raw figures.
Step in right direction, but when map came up it covered the U.S.A., hitting on pins gave way to much info. (no idea what they’re talking about). Maybe put this back in oven and cook a little more. Love the concept, perhaps Calif DOJ can get involved and cover all agencies in Calif. including names and cities of persons on Parole and Probation, it’s all public record.
