Chinook helicopters touch down at sheriff's Industry Station
Twin-rotor military helicopters were spotted flying low over the San Gabriel Valley Thursday.
A group of Chinook helicopters briefly touched down one by one at the sheriff's Industry Station during a homeland security excercise being carried out by the U.S. Marines, sheriff's officials said.

An FYI.
This is a CH-46 Sea Knight rather than a Chinook. The squadron is stationed out of Camp Miramar, San Diego. We are proud of the Marines!
Yeah those 2 Sea Knights have been in town since last Wednesday. They have flown over my house in Culver City at the 405/90 junction about 3 times in the last 5 nights around 8pm in the evenings. Last night they did 3 orbits over my house at about 400 AGL until LAX helicopter control allowed them to continue east through the LAX corridor.
Thanks for the Photo.
