Fire damages medical marijuana dispensary in Pasadena

PASADENA -- Firefighters used their breathing apparatus to protect them from marijuana smoke as they battled a blaze inside a medical cannabis dispensary early Sunday, officials said.
The fire was reported about 4:45 a.m. at 50 N. Mentor Ave., Pasadena Fire Department spokeswoman Lisa Derderian said.
The fire caused about $12,000 in damage to the building and its contents, Derderian said. Some marijuana burned in the fire, though it was not clear how much.
"All companies were notified of the product involved and to remain in full breathing apparatus during the operations," Pasadena fire officials said in a written statement.
The cause of the fire remained under investigation late Sunday, Derderian said.

Maybe the firefighters were more relaxed battling the blaze? and got munchies and bought more food ... adding to the local economy ... then needing fitness programs ... again, creating more jobs!

Seriously, don't make a big deal like they were in danger of "something" ... yes, it's a medicine, but with NO harm to the human body. Firefighters show up at EVERY fire with breathing apparatus. They are worried about actually breathing and toxic fumes ... I wouldn't classify MARIJUANA as TOXIC. Geez, like they might actually get high?

I think you write for a living or aspire to do so. Please note the difference between "its" and "it's." You made a mistake here.

Is this place a licensed dispensary? I thought Pasadena didn't allow marijuana dispensaries?

Thanks for taking some effort to put up this great blog post. We've lived in Encinitas since the moment I was born and could not be more content with our city.

Some time ago, I did need to buy a good car for my corporation but I didn't earn enough money and could not buy anything. Thank goodness my colleague suggested to try to take the personal loans at trustworthy bank. Therefore, I acted that and used to be satisfied with my auto loan.

Another incident that shows how brave firefighters are, their work is really commendable, totally love them for what they have been doing.
Thank you.
