ARCADIA -- Police arrested a West Covina man Wednesday on suspicion of raping a woman at an Arcadia home, authorities said.
Marc Romo, 35, was booked on suspicion of rape, Arcadia police Sgt. Dean Caputo said.
An investigation began about 3 p.m. Wednesday when a 24-year-old woman arrived at the Arcadia Police Department and reported she had been raped at a home in the 1000 block of South Alta Vista Avenue, Arcadia police Michael Castro said in a written statement.
"Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim was raped by a 35-year-old male whom she knows," Castro said. "The victim and the suspect were alone in the residence when the crime occurred."
According to sheriff's booking records, Romo was being held in lieu of $150,000 bail and was due for arraignment Friday in Pasadena Superior Court.
