Robbery, stabbing reported in La Mirada

LA MIRADA — A 20-year-old man reported being stabbed and having his bicycle stolen Thursday, authorities said.
The incident took place shortly before 5:50 p.m. at Foster Road and Duffield Avenue, Los Angeles County sheriff’s Lt. Bill Evans said.
The wounded man said he was riding his bike when an attacker suddenly stabbed him in the back, the lieutenant said.
When the injured man fell to the floor, the attacker took his bike and fled, officials said.
The robber was described only as a Latino man with a shaved head and tattoos, Evans said, adding that the victim didn’t appear to be fully cooperating with investigators.
The victim was talking and conscious when taken to the hospital, officials added.

  1. My Mother has lived on Duffield for almost 40 years. It was “drive by’ shootings In THE 1970’S. Called “The Pharmacy” in the 1980’s by L.A.S.D. In the early 1990’s L.A County stepped in and cleaned it up but in the 2000’s it’s gone completely backwards. They got their own Sherriff substation, we try to communicate with City Hall, Animal Control, and L.A.S.D regarding the issues and all we get is unfortunately “classic” runaround. No cooperation, no progress just runaround. Everyday when you see the news regarding “Higher Taxes”, Higher Fee’s Ect. for all of us just do your homework and you’ll find La Mirada is a perfect example of going backward..
