LA HABRA HEIGHTS -- Investigators are looking into mysterious shooting of a man early Wednesday, authorities said.
Deputies were summoned to Skyline Vista Drive about 9:50 am. in response to reports of a person, described only as male, with a gun, Los Angeles County sheriff's Sgt. Carlos Herrera said.
Deputies found nothing unusual in the neighborhood, however a short time later, a man arrived at St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton with a gunshot wound, the sergeant said. He was undergoing surgery Wednesday afternoon.
Investigators located a second apparent victim of the shooting who was not struck by gunfire Herrera said. They were working to develop more information about what took place.
