Two seriously injured in rollover crash in Diamond Bar

DIAMOND BAR — Two people suffered serious injuries Sunday in a rollover SUV crash on the 57 Freeway, officials said.
The crash was reported about 2:35 p.m. on the northbound 57 Freeway, just north of the eastbound 60 Freeway, according to California Highway Patrol logs.
The collision involved an SUV and a sedan, CHP and Los Angeles County Fire Department officials said. The SUV completely overturned and ended up back on it’s wheels.
A man estimated to be in his mid-60s who was in the SUV was flown to the University of California Irvine Medical center with head trauma, fire officials said. Another man in the SUV, estimated to be about 50, was taken by ambulance to the same hospital with back injuries.
Both men were conscious and breathing and were expected to survive, fire officials said.
A woman who was driving the sedan, which went down an embankment, suffered minor injuries, authorities added.
The cause of the crash was being investigated by the Santa Fe Springs office of the CHP.
The three right lanes of the northbound 57 Freeway were shut down for about an hour and a half during the rescue and initial investigation.

  1. I’m praying for the quick recovery of those involved in this accident.

One can appreciate the importance of wearing a seatbelt in accidents like this as it can save a person’s life.

I hope to hear more on what caused this crash.
