PICO RIVERA — Deputies jailed two women women Sunday on suspicion of scuffling with security while shoplifting, then leading sheriff’s deputies on a short chase.
Martha Almenar, 51, and Lisette Ochoa, 19, were booked on suspicion of robbery and evading police, Los Angeles County sheriff’s Lt. Jerry Cummings said. Their cities of residency were not available.
Employees of a pharmacy at Whittier Boulevard and Durfee Avenue flagged down a deputy about 6:30 p.m. to report to women had just struggled with a security guard after being caught trying to shoplift and fled in a car, the lieutenant said.
Deputies quickly caught up with the car and tried to pull it over, beginning a brief chase, Cummings said.

  1. What a joke this snake was a youth counselor and going on missions with her own belated daughter…..she should be locked up and throw away the key …Hope she gets what she deserves.Keep those snakes off the street and lockem up like the anilmal she is.

  2. Such laws place a higher priority on protecting. To get the felon off the street, the cop has to wait until he has probable cause to arrest the gang banger for a non-immigration crime, such as murder or robbery.

  3. the sad thing about this snake she will get away with it…Justice never serves her fat az!She needs to go rot in jail where she belonged a long time ago!She is a menice to the whole world!
