Three wounded in Arcadia stabbing
ARCADIA -- Three young men were stabbed, one of them seriously, in a fight in a shopping center parking lot, police said.
Authorities received reports that a fight had just occurred and broken up about 2:20 p.m. in the parking lot of a strip mall at Duarte Road and Golden West Avenue, Arcadia police Lt. Paul Foley said.
Arriving officers found no combatants in the parking lot, however 10 to 15 minutes later, police received word that three young men had arrived at a local emergency room with stab wounds, Foley said.
One of the men suffered serious injuries to his torso and was rushed into surgery, the lieutenant said. An update on his condition was not available.
The other two victims suffered "minor-to-moderate" wounds to their torsos, Foley said.
A suspect description was not available, other than that witnesses reported all those involved in the fight were young Asian men, police said. It was not clear Saturday if the stabbing was gang-related.
Anyone with information is asked to call Arcadia police at 626-574-5150.
