LA MIRADA — Authorities released surveillance photographs Wednesday of two men sought in a stabbing last month.
The attack took place about 1:30 a.m. Aug. 12 at a gas station in the 14000 block of Rosecrans Avenue, Los Angeles County sheriff’s officials said in a written statement.
“The victim exchanged words with the suspects as they sat in their vehicle,” the statement said. “Both suspects exited their car and approached the victim.
“(One attacker) knocked the victim to the ground and began stabbing the victim on his upper body and head with a knife,” according to the statement.
During the stabbing, the second suspect prevented a friend of the victim’s from intervening, officials said.
The victim, a man in his 20s, suffered superficial wounds, Lt. Bill Evans said.
The knife-wielding suspect was described as a Latino man, about 5 feet 7 inches tall, 200 pounds, with dark hair and dark eyes, officials said.
The second suspect was a Latino man, about 5 feet 7 inches tall, 160 pounds, with dark hair and dark eyes.
Both suspects fled in a dark-colored, possibly black, two-door Honda Civic.
Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff’s Norwalk Station.
