Man accused of attacking mother in Pasadena
PASADENA -- A man was behind bars Thursday on suspicion of trying to strangle his 71-year-old mother at her Pasadena home, officials said.
Arturo Delgado, 29, was booked on suspicion of attempted murder, Pasadena police Lt. Jari Faulkner said.
The alleged attack took place about 9:45 p.m. Wednesday in the 100 block of East Mountain Street, the lieutenant said.
Delgado became angry because he felt his mother wasn't giving her husband proper medical care and attacked her, police said.
The mother suffered minor injuries but was not hospitalized, she added.
According to sheriff's booking records, Delgado was being held in lieu of $1 million bail pending his initial court appearance.
